Housing-Every breeder has different ways that they choose to go about housing their dragons. I however choose to go with the cheapest, lightest, easiest to clean and have have the best results in Sterlite Containers which can be purchased at any Walmart or Target. I house my baby beardies in a 110 quart & sub adult-adult dragons in 116 quart.
Diet-I use Rep-Cal Reptile Calcium Powder with D3 to dust all my dragons food that I feed my dragons every time I feed them superworms (for dragons that are 16 inches or bigger only anything smaller may cause impaction) hornworms, silkworms, and crickets. I recommend that you feed your dragons insects that are the size of the distant between your dragons eyes never feed anything bigger or impaction or death may be a result(NEVER FEED MEALWORMS!!!!!).For a Bearded Dragon older than a year old, there should be roughly 70% salad and 30% insects. For a Bearded Dragon less than a year old, there should be 70% insects and 30% salad in their diet. I recommend feeding Collard Greens, Turnip Greens, and Mustard Greens in your salad. Here is a link to a website that tells you the nutritional content on different food items if your wondering what can be fed to your dragon. http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html
Lighting-I recommend using a Zoo Med UVA 50-75 watts for basking and Repti Glo 10.0 26 watts fluorescent for UVB (WILL BE UPGRADING TO REPTISUNS10.0 SOON!!) which is what I use, also there are many other good basking light name brands but I prefer to use these. Make sure your baking temps are as followed 100 - 105 degrees for adults and 100 - 110 for babies and your temps on the other side of the cage should be approximately 75-85 degrees which helps with the Bearded Dragon's digestion and necessary for their well-being. I have my dragons lights on a timer schedule which is 12/12 and you can purchase a timer at your local Walmart, Target, or hardware store which will make caring for your dragon easier on you. You should always make sure that your dragons basking temps are correct by checking them with a Digital Infrared Thermometer which will give you the most accurate temperature and can be purchased in the link at the bottom of the page.
Substrate- I recommend using newspaper as a bedding its easy to clean and cheap to get.
